Organizing that outlasts the moment.
Too many efforts arrive with a campaign and disappear when it ends. Now We Build started from a different idea: neighborhoods change when residents build relationships, grow their own leaders, and stay organized long enough to hold decisions accountable.
Our roots are in community organizing, get-out-the-vote work, and partnership with congregations and civic groups across Detroit and Wayne County.

Christopher Ford founded Now We Build to give Detroit residents the organizing tools, relationships, and support needed to win lasting change. His work spans community organizing, get-out-the-vote efforts, and coalition building with congregations and civic partners across Wayne County and Michigan.
